6 Tips for Unblocking Writer’s Block

Are you a writer or a creative type who makes a living or just a hobby from creating in various artistic mediums? If you answered yes, then you are most likely very familiar with writer’s block or creator’s block when you simply struggle to find the inspiration to create.

Simply put, creative block is the inability to think of something to write (or paint or sculpt or sketch or create) and the condition of being unable to proceed with your creative endeavor.

Speaking from the viewpoint of a writer, we are faced with the challenge to create new and interesting content every time we sit down to draft a new piece. If we want to grab and hold the attention of our readers, we really better have something interesting to say.

I struggle with writer’s block on a weekly basis. Because it is such a frequent obstacle, I am usually brainstorming ways to unblock the block. The result of my brainstorming is this short list of methods that help jump start my muse and get the creative juices flowing again.
