Forever is a Really Long Time
by Michelle Montoro
Forever love. The love of your life. Your one and only. A match made in heaven. The perfect couple. A storybook romance. Happily ever after.
I would venture to guess that most of us have felt this type of love at least once in our lives. Or so we thought it was this type of love.
Maybe some of you are happily married to your one and only true love whom you have spent every day with for the past 40 plus years and you wouldn’t have it any other way. You haven’t missed a thing. You’ve explored together, you’ve grown together, you loved and changed and experienced together. And you have remained compatible and completely in love with one another through it all.
If this you, I say congratulations. You are indeed a rare breed and I am so genuinely happy that you have never had to feel a broken heart in order to get to your happily ever after.
But if this isn’t you, then you are definitely in good company with the rest of us who have tried and failed, failed and tried, cried and laughed and thought we were going to quite possibly die from heartache and loneliness.
