Never has there been a better time to wax philosophical about the coming of the end of the world than during an international health crisis that has forced the entire human population into isolation and seclusion. When said humans refused to heed government issued suggestions on social distancing, said governments began implementing official orders deeming certain persons “essential” and others “nonessential”.

Unless performing life sustaining taks, all nonessential humans are to remain inside their homes until further notice. Failure to obey the newly constructed regulations could result in fines and public reprimand. That, my friends, is some serious governmental power. Using public health concern as the catalyst to implement lockdown orders is a genius move to illustrate to the people who entrusted you to govern and protect them just how much authority they actually handed over to you. Oh, the monsters that we can create.

Now I am not saying that this current public health concern is not legitimate. In all honesty, I have no idea if it is legitimate or if it has been constructed for some other purpose. I have no idea if…
