Michelle, thanks so much for phrasing it that way…it makes it a bit clearer for me to understand how others may be thinking. My husband just had a coworker telling him that his brother was in an open marriage and that he is now divorced because of it and that open marriages never work (he doesn’t know about our situation). My husband chose to just remain silent rather than dispute the generalized claim that open marriages never work. But it does get a bit annoying…always having to explain.
